This
site is dedicated to all of the aspects of Siege warfare as it pertains to
the Society of Creative
Anachronism. Within these pages you will find the official
rules used by the Society and the Kingdom
of Ansteorra.
Throughout history the siege has been a necessary tactic in order to secure a countryside or country from enemies. Fortified castles were built around any desirable piece of land or town to act as staging areas for Lords, Knights, and Royalty to control and protect their populace. Siege engines, tools, and tactics were created to nullify the advantages of the castle. In the Society, we attempt to recreate these tactics and weapons to help our commanders gain entry into the "forts and castles" we lay siege to, in the name of fun and historical study. I hope you enjoy this site and welcome any feedback. Please be patient, as this is a site in the making... |
